Free Currency Exchange Without Fees... Hana Card Launches 'Travelog' Service
No Fees for Hana Money Recharge in Four Foreign Currencies
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Hana Card announced on the 18th that it has newly launched the Travlog service for customers who use overseas travel and overseas direct purchase.
The Hana Money Travlog service allows charging in a total of five currencies: KRW, USD, JPY, EUR, and GBP, and features no exchange fees when charging with foreign currency Hana Money. Real-time charging through the Hana Money application is also available.
The Travlog Check Card, launched together with the Travlog service, uses the charged KRW and foreign currency Hana Money and offers benefits such as ▲no overseas service fee (USD 0.5 per transaction) and international brand fee (1% of the payment amount) when paying at overseas merchants ▲no overseas ATM withdrawal fee (USD 3 per transaction) and international brand fee (1% of the withdrawal amount) when withdrawing cash from overseas ATMs ▲0.3% Hana Money accumulation on payments at all domestic merchants.
The Travlog Check Card can be applied for through the Hana Money app and can be used at merchants equipped with contactless payment functions. Overseas, it can also be used at transportation terminals in major city subways supporting contactless payments, such as New York, Chicago, and London.
To commemorate the launch of the Travlog service, various events will be held until next month. ▲Instant accumulation of USD 2 when charging more than KRW 10,000 in foreign currency Hana Money (first 50,000 customers) ▲Immediate lottery and awarding of airport limousine tickets (worth KRW 18,000) to customers who agree to use the Travlog service ▲Accumulation of USD 4 in Hana Money for overseas payments over KRW 10,000 and USD 2 for domestic payments over KRW 10,000 made with the Travlog Check Card.
