National Tax Service Begins Tax Investigation on Haitai Confectionery
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The National Tax Service has launched a tax investigation into the food company Haitai Confectionery & Foods.
According to industry sources on the 14th, the National Tax Service recently dispatched employees to Haitai Confectionery headquarters and other locations to secure tax-related documents.
The investigation was conducted by the 4th Investigation Division of the Seoul Regional Tax Office, which is responsible for irregular special tax audits, rather than a routine regular tax audit.
