Police Send Former Ourhome Vice President Koo Bon-sung to Prosecution Without Detention on Embezzlement and Breach of Trust Charges
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Former Ourhome Vice Chairman Gu Bon-seong, who was accused by Ourhome of embezzlement and breach of trust, has been sent to the prosecution without detention.
On the 12th, the Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced that it recently handed over former Vice Chairman Gu to the prosecution on charges of embezzlement and breach of trust under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes.
The amount embezzled by former Vice Chairman Gu was investigated to be about 700 million won, and the amount involved in breach of trust was about 5.4 billion won.
Earlier, Ourhome conducted an internal audit and discovered circumstances where former Vice Chairman Gu received salaries and performance bonuses exceeding the prescribed limits, and filed a complaint with the police in November last year.
