Hapcheon-gun Conducts Inspection of Vulnerable Areas for Summer Safety Accidents
4 Water Play Management Areas and 6 Children's Play Facilities in the District Targeted
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province conducted on-site safety inspections from the 6th to the 8th of this month at four water play management areas and six children's playground facilities within the jurisdiction, as the peak summer season begins.
According to the county on the 11th, a joint inspection with Gyeongnam Province on the 6th focused on the safety management status of water play areas, mask-wearing, provision of hand sanitizers in shared facilities, installation of shade structures, and posting of social distancing banners as infection prevention measures.
From the 7th to the 8th, the county conducted its own inspection focusing on basic safety management matters such as whether the management entities of children's playground facilities conducted regular facility inspections and self-checks, completed safety education, and subscribed to insurance, as well as safety management of facilities considering risks from aging or damaged playground equipment.
The county took immediate corrective actions on-site for issues that could be resolved promptly, and for those difficult to address immediately or of significant importance, it established action plans to handle them or notified relevant departments to ensure measures are taken as soon as possible.
