Gangnam-gu Dosan Park Complex Building and Public Parking Lot Development Accelerates
[Seoul District News] Seoul City Advances 15-Year Gangnam Residents' Project with Pre-Consent for Overlapping Urban Planning Facilities on the 5th... Guro District Launches Spatial Information System for Development Projects Including Redevelopment and Reconstruction
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Seongmyeong Jo) is accelerating the ‘Dosan Park Complex Building and Public Parking Lot Construction Project’ following the prior consent for overlapping urban planning facilities granted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 5th.
Overlapping urban planning facilities refer to the establishment of two or more urban planning facilities on the same land. Since 2008, the district has continuously promoted the project to build a complex building with a memorial hall and library, along with an underground public parking lot in Dosan Park.
With the Seoul city’s prior consent for overlapping decisions, the foundation has been laid for the reconstruction of the memorial hall and the establishment of the library and public parking lot. The district plans to begin detailed design in 2023 after going through investment review procedures and complete the facilities by 2026.
The ‘Dosan Ahn Changho Memorial Hall,’ built in 1998, has long required renovation due to aging facilities and insufficient exhibition and parking spaces. Upon completion, the project is expected to greatly contribute not only to the convenience of citizens visiting the park but also to alleviating parking difficulties in the Sinsa and Apgujeong-dong areas.
Seongmyeong Jo, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, said, “After 15 years of effort, we have obtained Seoul city’s consent and can now actively promote the Dosan Park public parking lot project, a long-cherished wish of Gangnam residents. We will provide a pleasant Gangnam-style environment for visitors through meticulous planning and efficient land use that meets expectations.”
Guro-gu (District Mayor Heonil Moon) has established the ‘Guro-gu Development Project Spatial Information System.’
Guro-gu announced on the 8th that “an online service allowing residents to view the status of development projects in the area at a glance has been prepared and officially launched this month.”
The ‘Development Project Spatial Information System’ integrates development projects within the area into spatial information, enabling various projects managed by different departments to be viewed at a glance.
By accessing the ‘Development Project Spatial Information’ system through the ‘Information by Sector’ section on the district office website, users can view the status of development projects by project type and administrative district.
The projects are classified into six categories: ▲Housing Redevelopment Projects ▲Housing Reconstruction Projects ▲Housing Construction Projects ▲Street Housing Maintenance Projects ▲Small-scale Reconstruction Projects ▲Other Projects.
Selecting a project provides an overview including the project name, location, area, floor area ratio, building coverage ratio, number of households, as well as the progress status indicating the current stage and related departments.
In addition to the website providing detailed information on each project, the system is linked with other services such as Land Connect and Seoul Real Estate Information Plaza for convenient use.
Additional features include total distance and area measurement, estimated walking and cycling times based on distance, and street view.
