Gwangju Seo-gu Conducts 'Outdoor Advertising Safety Inspection' to Prepare for Wind and Flood Damage
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Yi-gang) announced on the 6th that it recently conducted safety inspections on outdoor advertisements to prepare for wind and flood disasters.
Seo-gu inspected a total of 21 outdoor advertisements through a joint inspection with the Gwangju Outdoor Advertising Association, and recommended repair and reinforcement measures to the business owners for advertisements vulnerable to safety issues.
According to the inspection results, administrative measures such as safety orders will be taken for outdoor advertisements vulnerable to wind and flood disasters at the respective businesses, and air lights and signboards installed on sidewalks will be guided for voluntary removal.
A Seo-gu official said, "We hope for the voluntary and active participation of business owners in this safety inspection to prevent safety accidents such as outdoor advertisements falling due to typhoons or heavy rain."
Meanwhile, Seo-gu plans to conduct inspections on fixed and mobile advertisements installed within the district until the 15th.
