SsangYong Torres New Car Introduction to Be Handled by Virtual Human Lucy
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] SsangYong Motor announced on the 5th that it will hold the new model launch event for the sports utility vehicle (SUV) Torres both online and offline simultaneously.
The offline event is the first in over three years since the new Tivoli in June 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic. It is intended for the press. Considering the recent high interest from general customers following the design reveal, an online event incorporating the metaverse has also been prepared.
In the online event, the virtual human Lucy will act as a marketer to introduce the new car. Lucy is a virtual human developed by Lotte Home Shopping and works as an influencer, show host, and advertising model. The design will be introduced by Moon Il-han, head of SsangYong Motor's exterior design team. The event will also convey SsangYong Motor's design vision along with the new car.
The online event is scheduled for 10 a.m. on the 5th. It will focus on product introduction and can be viewed on Naver TV and SsangYong Motor's official YouTube channel.
