[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] In the Sinjeong-dong area of Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, muddy water mixed with tap water was reported, but normal water supply was restored after 6 hours.
Starting around 12 PM on the 2nd, residents in the Sinjeong 3 and 4-dong areas of Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, reported muddy water mixed with tap water. In response, the Seoul Metropolitan Waterworks Headquarters took on-site measures and announced that normal water supply began around 6 PM.
According to the headquarters, the cause was identified as a leak occurring when a pipe joint detached during the installation of a work shaft for cleaning water pipes installed in 1986.
