SKB Hosts the 4th Media Creation Contest
'Our Neighborhood ESG Story' Topic
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] SK Broadband announced on the 1st that it will hold the "4th Media Creation Contest" under the theme of "Our Neighborhood ESG Story."
SK Broadband conducts the Media Creation Contest twice a year in collaboration with the Korea Communications Agency, the National Media Center Council, and others. It is a program that broadly communicates with citizens using media content as a subject and seeks solutions to social issues together.
The contest has two categories: Culture & Entertainment and Drama & Documentary. Participants can submit proposals for infotainment, variety shows, community talk shows, or short dramas and documentaries within 15 minutes, all centered on the theme of ESG in daily life. Any ordinary citizen can apply, and selected works will be produced as actual videos and broadcasted.
After expert evaluation, the grand prize (1 work) will receive a cash award of 5 million KRW, the excellence award (1 work per category) will receive 3 million KRW, and the merit award (2 works per category) will receive 1 million KRW. Additionally, awardees will be provided with equipment and editing rooms at the Media Creation Support Center to produce their proposals into actual broadcast videos, along with production cost support. Mentoring by broadcasting and film experts and special lectures will also be offered, and the final completed works will be scheduled on B tv regional channels and VOD.
Applications are open until the 26th of this month, and detailed information can be found on the National Media Center Council website.
