Incheon TP Supports Content Development Costs for 'XR Metaverse Incheon Ieum Project' Utilization
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) announced on the 28th that it is recruiting companies to participate in the 'XR (Extended Reality) Metaverse Incheon Connection Project Utilization Expansion Support Task' in collaboration with Incheon City.
The XR Metaverse Incheon Connection Project is a business that builds a 3D spatial map of 4 million square meters in the Incheon area, including Incheon International Airport, Gaehangjang, Songdo International City, and Bupyeong Station, and provides metaverse convenience services such as navigation, tourism, and shopping linked with 5G based on this.
Among these, Incheon TP is recruiting content planning and development companies that utilize location-based XR data and other business outcomes targeting four areas: Donghwa Village (Dong-gu Songwol-dong), Wolmido, Incheon City Hall, and Ganghwa-gun.
Incheon TP plans to select about five companies and support development costs up to 200 million KRW per company.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Incheon TP website (www.itp.or.kr) on the 4th of next month and sending it via email (haneul@itp.or.kr, csh@itp.or.kr).

An Incheon TP official stated, "We expect this to help foster the XR content and metaverse-related industries in the Incheon area," and added, "We will expand the scope of support to ensure it leads to substantial corporate growth."
