Doosan Corporation announced that it will participate in the '2022 European Battery Show' held in Stuttgart, Germany, starting on the 28th (local time). More than 550 companies, including electric vehicle manufacturers as well as battery cell, module, and pack producers, are participating in the European Battery Show.
At this exhibition, Doosan will introduce next-generation parts and technology solutions used in electric vehicle batteries, including ▲PFC (Patterned Flat Cable) ▲Pattern Fuse ▲Active BBM (Bus Bar Module) ▲LCCS (Laminated Cell Contact System).
PFC is a material that connects cells, the smallest unit of electric vehicle batteries, made by laminating an insulating film onto a flexible copper-clad laminate with circuits formed on it. It is a product that complements the drawbacks of copper wires and flexible printed circuit boards, reducing weight and volume by more than 80% compared to copper wires, thereby lowering the cost of battery packs. It is also the world’s first product developed using a roll-to-roll manufacturing process, capable of supporting electric vehicle electronic component lengths up to 3 meters.
Additionally, Doosan plans to showcase the Pattern Fuse, which integrates a fuse to prevent circuit overcurrent without the need for a separate chip attachment; Active BBM, a technology that allows electronic components to be attached directly to the wire itself; and LCCS, which replaces the component protection case material from plastic to film.
Yoo Seung-woo, Head of Doosan Electronics BG, said, "We will do our best to showcase various next-generation technology solutions applicable to electric vehicle battery packs and widely promote the excellence and competitiveness of Doosan’s electric vehicle electronic components, ultimately aiming to secure orders."
