Dongyang Life Conducts One-Day Flower Arrangement Class to Prevent Dementia in Seniors
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Dongyang Life Insurance announced on the 27th that it held a one-day flower arranging class titled "Guardian Angels Brightening Our Home" for dementia prevention among the elderly in collaboration with the Yongsan Senior Welfare Center on the 23rd.
This class was the first outdoor activity in a while for the elderly, who had mainly stayed at home due to COVID-19, aimed at helping them gain vitality by arranging flowers themselves and aiding in dementia prevention.
On the day, Dongyang Life Insurance invited 30 elderly participants to the Yongsan Senior Welfare Center to conduct a flower arranging class using Hwagi flowers. The class, led by a professional florist, lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes. It concluded warmly with the distribution of prepared healthy snacks to the elderly. All fees, including lecture and material costs, were fully supported by Dongyang Life Insurance.
