View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Gyeongbuk Province is conducting specialized technical training to cultivate expert personnel for forest pest monitoring and control at the Central Association of Forestry Cooperatives' Forestry Technology Training Centers (Gangneung, Yangsan, Jinan) until August 12.
The training is provided to 192 members of the forest pest monitoring and control teams working in 23 cities and counties in the region, combining theory and practice on topics such as forest pest occurrence surveys, equipment usage methods, and tree injection techniques.
The forest pest monitoring and control teams operate to detect pests and diseases occurring in forests early and to control them promptly in order to preserve healthy forest resources.
They are working hard on the front lines to prevent the spread of pine wilt disease.
Additionally, with climate change and increased international exchanges, the appearance of invasive and sudden pest outbreaks is becoming more frequent, making the cultivation of specialized technical personnel even more necessary to minimize forest pest damage.
