[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Five teenagers who bullied children (aged 7 to 9) at a local children's center in Gwangju have been referred to the prosecution and the family court juvenile division.
On the 23rd, the Gwangju Nambu Police Station announced that they had sent A (15) to the prosecution on charges of special intimidation.
The other four, who are juvenile offenders aged 10 to 14, were referred to the family court juvenile division on charges of assault.
A threatened a child attending the same center earlier this year by taking out stationery scissors and threatening to cut their hair for talking back, and the other three are accused of assault, including hitting and pushing, between July and October of last year.
Separately, another individual is accused of teasing or assaulting the victim child's younger sister.
The police launched an investigation based on a petition submitted by the victim child's guardian, which detailed the bullying and the center's inadequate response.
