Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Hosts Customer Invitation YG Port-day Event
Daehan Shipping and LX Pantos Hold Port Training and Port Tour for Field Staff
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, hereinafter YGPA) announced on the 20th that it will operate the customer invitation program "YG Port-Day" to enhance the expertise of port customers and revitalize Yeosu Gwangyang Port through on-the-ground marketing.
As the first invited customers, the authority conducted the program over two days from June 15 to 16 around Yeosu Gwangyang Port for about 20 people, including Daehan Shipping, responsible for bulk cargo transport such as iron ore imports for Gwangyang Steelworks, and LX Pantos, the nation's top international logistics forwarding company and the number one user of Yeosu Gwangyang Port.
The authority enhanced the understanding of port users about the port and the port authority through ▲visiting the PR center ▲Yeosu Gwangyang Port education ▲on-site tours of the container terminal and port hinterland complex ▲port guide ship port tour.
The authority is conducting differentiated marketing activities by strengthening expertise through on-site port experiences.
Daehan Shipping Deputy Manager Lee Jae-eun, who attended the event, said, "Through the YG Port-Day program, not only did my understanding of the port site improve, but I also felt the sincerity of the authority leading customer-first principles."
Additionally, LX Pantos Shipping Operations Team Leader Cha Sang-won suggested, "As the number one domestic import-export port and a converged smart port, Yeosu Gwangyang Port has limitless future development potential. If the authority leads customer satisfaction through communication with customers, the revitalization of Yeosu Gwangyang Port will naturally follow."
President Park Seong-hyun said, "Desk theories detached from the port site cannot expect growth not only for our authority but also for the entire port logistics industry. We will expand the customer invitation program in the future to become Yeosu Gwangyang Port that communicates and grows together with customers."
