Collaboration Between Fire Agency and Fire Water Facility for Route Guidance
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] The comprehensive mobility platform T map will provide location information and navigation services for approximately 166,000 fire hydrants nationwide.
T map Mobility announced on the 20th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Fire Agency to provide navigation services for firefighting water facilities and to prepare and establish fire response measures.
T map Mobility links the application programming interface (API) of the T map map service with the internal network system of the National Fire Agency to provide location information services for about 166,000 fire hydrants nationwide. The service started on the 24th of last month and will provide location information until the fire hydrants are removed.
T map users can turn on the navigation and search for "sohwajeon" (fire hydrant) to receive navigation services to the nearest fire hydrant location. It is also possible to check in advance the installation types of fire hydrants, such as above-ground, underground, water towers, reservoirs, and lift-type hydrants.
