BTS New Song 'Yet To Come' Enters UK Official Chart at No. 27
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] BTS's new song "Yet To Come" ranked 27th on the UK's Official Singles Chart Top 100 as of the 17th (local time).
Another new song, "Run BTS," charted at 62nd, placing two BTS songs in the Top 100. Both songs are included in the new album "Proof," released on the 10th.
The Official Chart, along with the US Billboard, is one of the most authoritative charts representing the pop market, showing the weekly ranking of popular songs in the UK based on streaming, digital downloads, and album sales.
This is the first time in about four months that BTS has charted on the singles chart since "My Universe," a collaboration with the band Coldplay. "My Universe" entered the singles chart at number 3 upon its release last year, marking its highest position, and remained on the chart for 19 weeks until February this year.
The title track of this album, "Yet To Come," carries a hopeful message: "You and I, best moment is yet to come." Immediately after its release, it topped Melon's "Top 100" real-time chart (as of 2 PM) and also reached number one on Genie and Bugs charts.
On Spotify, the world's largest music platform, the song was streamed over 7,178,605 times on the day of release and ranked 3rd on the "Daily Top Songs Global" chart as of the 10th.
