Changgyeong Center Council Signs MOU to Support Growth of Venture Startups
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Council of Creative Economy Innovation Centers announced on the 16th that it has signed a business agreement with the National Korea National Open University to support the independence and growth of innovative venture startups and accelerate the spread of entrepreneurial culture.
The two organizations plan to establish a collaborative system to promote entrepreneurial culture and support promising startups to strengthen national competitiveness, and to develop joint programs for joint collaborative projects and fostering regional specialized industries by utilizing nationwide startup infrastructure owned by each institution.
Through this agreement, specific cooperation measures were prepared, including ▲strengthening the capabilities of prospective entrepreneurs and startup companies ▲joint development of educational programs to promote entrepreneurship ▲mutual exchange, production, operation, and dissemination of educational content ▲establishment of a mutual cooperation system for human resources, technology, and facility resources.
At the signing ceremony, Korea National Open University President Ko Sung-hwan said, “This business agreement is meaningful in that the Open University, which provides quality education through a nationwide campus network and blended online and offline classes, can be connected with local entrepreneurs through a knowledge network.”

Ha Sang-yong, Director of the Gwangju Creative Economy Innovation Center, said, “It will be an opportunity to establish a system where 19 Creative Economy Innovation Centers nationwide collaborate and strengthen their roles as regional startup hubs,” adding, “We will strive to expand the sustainable growth capabilities of promising local startups and venture companies.”
