Samsung Electronics Hosts University Student Programming Contest... Total Prize Money of 100 Million Won
Anyone Can Apply from the 14th to July 12th, Including University and Graduate Students
[Asia Economy Reporter Sunmi Park] Samsung Electronics is recruiting participants for the 2022 "Samsung Electronics Collegiate Programming Contest (SCPC)."
SCPC is a programming competition that Samsung Electronics has been conducting since 2015 to expand the software ecosystem and discover talented individuals. This year marks its 8th edition. It is the largest software competition for university students in South Korea in terms of both prize money and number of participants.
Any university (including graduate) student interested in programming can participate regardless of their year or major. Applications can be submitted through the CodeGround website from the 14th until July 12th. After two preliminary rounds in July and August, the final competition to determine the ultimate rankings will be held on September 3rd. All events will be conducted online. Winners of the final competition will receive a total prize of 100 million KRW and preferential hiring benefits from Samsung Electronics.

So far, over 30,000 university (including graduate) students have participated in SCPC, producing a total of 251 awardees and contributing to the development of software talent. Participants can also access various resources such as algorithm techniques, data structures, and past contest problems on CodeGround, Samsung Electronics' real-time algorithm coding platform.
