Kim Kyung-tak, Walkability Planning Officer, Personally Presents... Promoting Seoul's Leading Digital Twin Technology
This Presentation Realized at OECD's Official Request
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul Metropolitan Government will participate in the OECD International Conference on Government Innovation held virtually on the 16th, presenting Seoul's autonomous driving digital twin technology and showcasing Seoul's advanced use of digital technology to support businesses to the world.
According to Seoul City on the 14th, Kim Kyung-tak, Seoul's Walkability Planning Officer, will serve as the presenter at this conference, introducing the autonomous driving simulation system integrated with digital twin technology as a model case of Seoul, which aims to be a leading city in autonomous driving. He will also engage in discussions with panelists from the UK, Canada, and OECD officials attending the conference.
The OECD International Conference on Government Innovation, organized by the OECD Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) and Public Governance (GOV) committees, was launched in January 2020. It is a forum to present and discuss ways to utilize digital technology in corporate risk management and compliance monitoring, as well as government support innovation cases.
This presentation was made possible by an official OECD request, following the global recognition of Seoul's private-sector open case of the autonomous vehicle simulator announced on April 28. On the day, Kim Kyung-tak will introduce innovative cases that reduce costs and enhance safety and efficiency for companies by supporting autonomous vehicle simulation in virtual reality rather than on real roads, through digital technologies such as the digital twin technology-based autonomous vehicle simulator opened to the private sector.
