The visit was arranged to encourage the executives and employees of excellent export companies overcoming the COVID-19 crisis through online exports and to hear opinions and suggestions on policy support directions necessary for entering new markets.
Claire is a global strong small and medium-sized enterprise famous for its small and medium-sized air purifiers that fit recent consumer trends such as single-person households. From air purifier filters to finished products, they are developed and produced directly at their domestic factory, gaining recognition both domestically and internationally in terms of technology. Since its establishment in 2014, it achieved sales of 10 billion KRW within seven years and currently exports products to 23 countries worldwide, including the United States, Switzerland, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, Claire faced difficulties from unstable supply of core air purifier parts and high logistics costs caused by the global logistics crisis. In response, SBC promptly provided policy funds such as emergency management stabilization funds and new market entry support funds. Additionally, they actively supported entry into overseas e-commerce markets by linking various projects, including an online export joint logistics project offering regular logistics discounts and logistics hub services, and an online export agency project that sells products through overseas open markets. Building on this, Claire entered global platforms such as Amazon, Qoo10, and Shopee to pioneer overseas sales channels. Since last year, they have been directly selling through their own shopping mall targeting North American consumers.
Lee Woo-heon, CEO of Claire, said, "Through participation in various SBC e-commerce export market entry projects, we were able to pioneer new export channels even during the COVID-19 situation," adding, "We will strive to become the No.1 brand in the small and medium-sized air purifier sector not only domestically but also overseas."
