The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) forecasted that due to atmospheric instability, showers of about 5 to 40mm will fall from the evening in Seoul, eastern Gyeonggi, inland Chungcheong, and northern inland Gyeongbuk. Showers are also expected in the mountainous areas of Gangwon from the afternoon. Due to the influence of a pressure trough passing over the South Sea, some areas in Jeju will experience rain between dawn and morning.
The KMA stated, "In areas where showers occur, there may be gusts of wind accompanied by thunder, lightning, and hail. Due to the nature of showers developing in narrow rain cloud bands, there will be significant differences in rainfall intensity and amount between regions, and many places will experience breaks in precipitation."
On this day, the central region will be mostly cloudy, while the southern region will be generally clear. Temperatures will be similar to the average, with daytime highs of 29°C in Seoul, Suwon, Gwangju, Jeonju, and Andong; 30°C in Cheongju, Daejeon, and Daegu; and 25°C in Incheon, Ulsan, and Busan. Fine dust levels will be good to moderate across all regions due to favorable atmospheric dispersion.
Until 9 a.m., fog with visibility less than 1 km will form mainly along the west coast and inland areas, so caution is advised for traffic safety.
On Saturday the 11th, showers will occur in the afternoon in Seoul, central inland areas, inland Jeolla, northern inland Gyeongbuk, and northwestern inland Gyeongnam due to atmospheric instability. Expected rainfall is 5 to 40mm in central inland areas, inland Jeolla, northern inland Gyeongbuk, and western inland Gyeongnam. Jeju Island will receive about 5 to 20mm of rain between dawn and morning on the 11th.
