Gyeongbuk Office of Education to Host June Permanent Gallery Exhibition... Over 30 Works by Secondary Art Teachers on Display
An art exhibition is being held at the permanent gallery on the first floor of the Gyeongbuk Office of Education.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwi-yeol] The Gyeongbuk Office of Education is holding the 55th Gyeongbuk Secondary Art Subject Research Association Exhibition at the permanent gallery on the first floor of the main building until June 30.
This exhibition features over 30 works including Western paintings, Oriental paintings, and wood carvings created by 32 art teachers from middle and high schools in the Gyeongbuk region.
Among the exhibited works, notable pieces include "Maehwa," which depicts flowers as stars against the night sky; "Ilwol Obongdo," a painting representing Joseon Dynasty court paintings, traditionally shown as folding screens, recreated in a single frame; and "Geugoseo," an oil painting expressing memories of an autumn day dyed pink.
Park Hoe-won, principal of Pohang Hangdo Middle School and president of the Gyeongbuk Secondary Art Subject Education Research Association, said, "I hope the artworks in this exhibition convey the fragrance and joy of art to the lives of visitors," adding, "We will continue to do our best in school cultural arts education and strive to contribute to realizing happy Gyeongbuk education together with students."
The Gyeongbuk Secondary Art Subject Education Research Association holds an annual exhibition of teachers' works to promote self-improvement and professional development among teachers.
Superintendent Lim Jong-sik said, "This exhibition was created with the passion and love of teachers for art education, and I hope the dreams contained in the works will be sublimated into beautiful Gyeongbuk education."

The permanent gallery located on the first floor of the Gyeongbuk Office of Education main building is open to the public on weekdays from 09:00 to 18:00 for free viewing.
