A Man in His 50s Wearing an Electronic Ankle Bracelet Arrested for Robbery at a Bar
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 50s who committed a robbery while on probation was arrested by the police.
The Yangcheon Police Station in Seoul announced on the 5th that they have booked and are investigating a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of special robbery.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of threatening the owner of a bar in Yangcheon-gu with a weapon around 3:10 a.m. that day while intoxicated, attempting to steal alcohol and money.
The police, who responded to the scene following a report from the victim who escaped through the back door of the establishment, arrested Mr. A in the act.
Police investigations revealed that Mr. A committed this crime while under probation from the Ministry of Justice after serving a sentence for attempted murder.
