Joindong, Acting Mayor of Seoul, Attends 'Sillim Line Urban Railway' Opening Ceremony... Test Ride from Boramae Hospital Station to Saetgang Station
Operation Starts from 5:30 AM on the 28th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Jo In-dong, Acting Mayor of Seoul, will attend the opening ceremony of the ‘Sillim Line Urban Railway’ held in front of the Chung Hyo Tower at Boramae Park on the 27th.
The ‘Sillim Line Urban Railway’ is a total 7.8km route connecting 11 stations from Yeouido Saetgang Station to Gwanaksan (Seoul National University) Station in the southwest area of Seoul. It allows transfers to Subway Line 9 (Saetgang Station), Line 1 (Daebang Station), Line 7 (Boramae Station), and Line 2 (Sillim Station), making it convenient for citizens to use. The ‘Sillim Line Urban Railway’ will begin operation at 5:30 AM on the 28th.
The commuting time from Yeouido to Seoul National University during peak hours will be reduced to 16 minutes, half the time compared to the existing (vehicle) travel time. Through the ‘Sillim Line Urban Railway,’ it is expected to improve the quality of life for residents in the southwest area and eliminate blind spots in public transportation.
Acting Mayor Jo plans to express gratitude to citizens for their understanding of the inconveniences caused by construction until the opening of the ‘Sillim Line Urban Railway’ and will take a trial ride on the section from Boramae Hospital Station to Saetgang Station.
