At the signing ceremony, both organizations agreed to jointly promote ▲activation of subway use following the construction of the Line 1 Hayang extension ▲development of student field internship programs ▲discovery of training programs to improve job skills for industrial employees ▲technical development such as architecture in the subway field and acquisition of intellectual property rights.
Additionally, Daegu Catholic University promised to provide industry-academic cooperation scholarships to those recommended by Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation upon admission to Justino Freedom University.

Im Young-cheol, head of the Department of Architectural Engineering at Daegu Catholic University, said, “The extension of Daegu Subway Line 1 to Hayang has a great synergy effect in resolving transportation system imbalances and promoting the region’s history and culture,” adding, “This agreement is expected to be the first step toward regional win-win development through nurturing talent in subway architecture, expanding technology exchange, and activating subway use.”
