Suwon City, Food Manufacturing Companies 'Hygiene Management Grade Evaluation'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a 'Hygiene Management Rating' evaluation targeting food manufacturing companies within the jurisdiction until November.
The hygiene management rating evaluation aims to inspect the hygiene and quality management capabilities of food manufacturing companies, provide customized management according to each rating, improve hygiene management levels, and establish a safe food production system.
The evaluation targets a total of 90 companies, excluding 45 food safety management certification (HACCP) companies within Suwon City, including food manufacturing and processing companies and food additive manufacturers.
The evaluation items include ▲company status, scale, and number of employees ▲presence of hygiene management supervisor ▲types of food and production capacity ▲workplace cleanliness management ▲product management (self-quality inspection, setting distribution period, hazardous substance management, etc.) ▲compliance with the Food Sanitation Act, totaling 120 items.
The city classifies companies based on the evaluation into ▲Self-Managed Companies (151~200 points) ▲General Management Companies (90~150 points) ▲Focused Management Companies (0~89 points).
The city also provides customized management according to the evaluation (rating) results. Self-Managed Companies are exempt from hygiene inspections for two years and are given priority support when conducting loan projects for improving hygiene management facilities. Focused Management Companies receive intensive hygiene guidance and management at least once a year.
