US Designates North Korea as 'State Sponsor of Terrorism' for 26 Consecutive Years

According to the Voice of America (VOA) broadcast on the 20th, the U.S. Department of State announced through a Federal Register notice that it has designated five countries?North Korea, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, and Cuba?as State Sponsors of Terrorism Non-Cooperation and notified Congress.
State Sponsors of Terrorism Non-Cooperation refers to countries that do not sufficiently cooperate with the U.S. counterterrorism efforts. Once designated as such, the sale or authorization of defense articles and services to these countries is prohibited, and this information is disclosed to the international community.
