Cumulative Number of COVID-19 Cases in North Korea Surpasses 2 Million... 8 Days Since First Public Report
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] The cumulative number of people with fever in North Korea surpassed 2 million on the 20th.
According to North Korea's Korean Central News Agency on the same day, the State Emergency Anti-epidemic Headquarters reported that the number of new fever cases from 6 p.m. on the 18th to 6 p.m. on the 19th was approximately 263,370.
The total number of fever cases nationwide from the end of last month until the afternoon of the previous day reached approximately 2,241,610. This is eight days since North Korea publicly acknowledged the occurrence of COVID-19.
Among them, about 1,486,730 have recovered, and about 754,810 are receiving treatment. The cumulative death toll has been counted as 65 so far.
