Providing Forest Experiences to Support Stress Relief and Daily Recovery for Long-term Care Workers

Caring for patients who require long-term care is already challenging, and they had to endure the COVID-19 crisis as well. The National Health Insurance Service has attracted attention by preparing a healing program to soothe their weary hearts.
The Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service conducted a forest experience healing program on the 12th for long-term care workers who have worked hard to protect the care field even amid the COVID-19 situation.
The healing program held at ‘Supaeseo’ in Daewoonsan, Yangsan, Gyeongnam, was attended by 38 long-term care workers from the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam areas.
The program included various experiences to replenish physical and mental vitality and relieve daily stress, such as ▲Forest therapy ‘Walking meditation in the forest’ ▲Health therapy ‘Healing device experience’ ▲Mental healing ‘Supaeseo autonomous healing’ ▲Nutritious ‘Well-being healing meal’.
One participant expressed gratitude, saying, “I spent a happy time creating good memories while fully enjoying healing with good people in nature.”
