KH Construction Joins Support for Ukraine
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] KH Construction is joining efforts to support the people of Ukraine.
KH Construction announced on the 12th that it attended the launch ceremony of the medical volunteer service for Ukrainian refugees and the donation ceremony held by the international medical volunteer organization Green Doctors Foundation on the 11th, donating 10 million KRW.
The Green Doctors Foundation medical support team will visit war refugee camps in the Polish border area, near the Ukraine border, until the 20th to provide medical support activities.
As the war prolongs, the medical support team will deliver medicines for diabetes and hypertension patients, cold medicine, and quarantine kits to local refugees, whose supply has become difficult. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), about 2 million refugees have fled Ukraine since the Russian invasion, facing difficulties due to shortages of medicines and relief supplies.
The medical support team includes Green Doctors Chairman Jeong Geun, as well as Im Seyoung and Kim Jeongyong, directors of Green Doctors Kaesong Hospital, which was the first South Korean clinic inside North Korea after the division.
Kang Jeongsik, CEO of KH Construction, said, "Considering the hardships faced by Ukrainian refugees and children who have lost their homes due to the war, we made this donation from a humanitarian perspective. We hope it will help the people of Ukraine overcome their difficulties."
