Park made these remarks at the Democratic Party emergency committee meeting held at the National Assembly on the same day, concerning the supplementary budget that the government and ruling party have not yet disclosed.

He said, "This supplementary budget is the last opportunity to compensate the people for the damages caused by COVID-19," adding, "It is the first step for both ruling and opposition parties to fulfill the promises made to the public during the presidential election." Park also stated, "Although delayed, we will ensure swift support," and "The Democratic Party will propose projects to the government and provide supplements."
