Jeonju Postal Distribution Center Holds 'Wish Mailbox Event' for Children's Day
Toys, Clothing, and More Purchased and Delivered to Wanju Soyang Seondeok Childcare Center
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonju Postal Distribution Center (Director Song Jeong-hwan) announced on the 4th that, in celebration of the 100th Children's Day, it held a Wish Mailbox event at Seondeok Childcare Center in Soyang-myeon, Wanju-gun (Director Lee Soon-ok) with the support of the Post Office Public Interest Foundation.
The "Post Office Happy Delivery Wish Mailbox" is an event where letters containing simple wishes from children living in welfare facilities are read, and toys, clothing, bags, books, and other items that the children want are purchased and delivered to them.
Jeonju Postal Distribution Center prepared gifts worth about 1.5 million won for the children who put their wish letters into the mailbox, carefully packaging and delivering them.
Director Song Jeong-hwan said, "Through this Wish Mailbox Love Sharing event, we deliver warm love to children growing up with dreams, and thinking about the happiness of the children makes me happy. We will continue to strive to faithfully fulfill our public role as a government agency by communicating not only with the underprivileged but also with local residents through continuous volunteer activities."
