[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Mokwon University held the '68th Anniversary Commemorative Worship Service of Mokwon University' on the 3rd. Mokwon University, the first private university in Daejeon, traces its origins back to the Methodist Daejeon Theological Seminary founded in 1954 by Dr. Charles D. Stokes (1915?1997), an American Methodist missionary to Korea, and has continued its 68-year history and tradition to the present day. Recently, it has been recognized as a university excelling in nurturing future-oriented convergence talents through swift educational innovation aligned with the times, such as reforming the academic system for competency-based education.
