On the same day, Kim held a press conference in front of the provincial education office and criticized, "The 18th, when Superintendent Park Jong-hoon declared his candidacy for a third term, is a day of disgrace for Gyeongnam education as it broke the promise made to the people of Gyeongnam not to run."
He claimed, "Superintendent Park justified his third-term candidacy by citing the establishment of the 'iTalkTalk' platform, a Gyeongnam-type future education support system, but this project is either a promotional tool for the provincial education office or a typical example of unnecessary budget waste."
He added, "Above all, the 'iTalkTalk' project is not something only Superintendent Park can accomplish," and said, "I have already pledged several times to build a future education system and am designing the next hundred years of Gyeongnam education."
He then appealed, "I will keep the promises to set Gyeongnam education right, so please trust and support Kim Sang-kwon."
