Democratic Party of Korea Jeju Provincial Party, Call for Provincial Assembly Candidate Applications
Online Registration from April 1 to 6... Submission of Recommendation Forms and Pledges Required
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Chang-won] The Public Office Election Candidate Recommendation Management Committee of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Party of the Democratic Party of Korea (Chairman Cho Nam-su, Chairman of the Jeju Provincial Council) held its first meeting on the 31st at the party office meeting room and decided to open applications for candidates for the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections to be held in June.
The application target is candidates for the 8th nationwide simultaneous election for the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province regional district metropolitan council, and the application period is from the 1st to 6th of next month until 6 p.m.
Eligibility for application is limited to party members who meet Article 27 of Party Regulation No. 10 and Article 5, Paragraph 1 of Party Regulation No. 2. Candidates who are not currently registered members must go through separate procedures such as submitting a party membership application form.
Applications can be submitted online, and candidates must submit a recommendation application form, pledge, and legislative activity plan, among other documents.
The Public Office Election Candidate Recommendation Management Committee plans to focus on visions for Jeju’s development and improving the quality of life for residents.
In addition, in accordance with central party guidelines, the screening criteria will be strengthened for serious crimes, disgraceful crimes, sexual violence crimes, domestic violence, and child abuse.
