Hyundai Department Store Duty Free Shop Donates 100 Million KRW to Support Low-Income Single Mothers
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Hyundai Department Store Duty Free announced on the 31st that it will provide 100 million KRW to help low-income single mothers achieve social and economic independence.
On the same day, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free donated funds to the Seoul Community Chest of Korea for the single mother support project, "Thank You, Mom Campaign."
Since 2019, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free has been supporting low-income single mothers living in the metropolitan area in collaboration with the Seoul Community Chest of Korea by providing financial assistance for prenatal and postnatal medical care, postpartum care expenses, living and childcare costs, as well as education for obtaining certifications. Including this year's support of 100 million KRW, a total of 350 million KRW will have been provided over four years.

A Hyundai Department Store Duty Free official said, "We hope this support project will be of some help to single-mother families raising children alone in difficult circumstances," and added, "We will continue to expand support projects that provide practical assistance to marginalized groups in the local community."
