Gyeonggawon Announces 'Safety and Health Management Policy'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency has announced a safety and health management policy in line with the government's enforcement of the 'Serious Accident Punishment Act.'
On the 25th, the agency held an Industrial Safety and Health Committee meeting in the Vision Room on the first floor of Suwon Gwanggyo Technovalley and declared the 'Safety and Health Management Policy,' the agency announced on the 27th.
The newly declared 'Safety and Health Management Policy' by the agency includes ▲establishing and implementing a safety and health management system ▲complying with relevant laws to prevent serious accidents and industrial accidents ▲operating a safety and health management system for the proactive prevention of industrial accidents ▲spreading a safety culture through communication with partner companies ▲listening to and implementing improvement plans based on the opinions of workers and customers regarding safety and health.
Yoo Seung-kyung, head of the agency, emphasized, "Preventing serious accidents requires a firm commitment to safety management from top executives and active participation from all employees," adding, "Through this declaration of the safety and health management policy, we will do our best to protect the lives of workers and residents."
