Jin Joong-kwon: "Yoon Surrounded by 'Yun Hae-gwan' Annoying the Public... Won't Last Long If This Continues"
"To run the government, it's their own necessary task but they can't even distinguish between urine and feces"
On Moon-Yoon conflict: "The public is annoyed... Regardless of subordinates, they must meet directly and quickly"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon harshly criticized President Yoon Seok-yeol and the Presidential Transition Committee on the 24th, saying, "It seems they cannot properly distinguish between urine and feces. They are poor at controlling their anger." This was a criticism of the transition committee's abrupt cancellation of the Ministry of Justice's work briefing after Minister of Justice Park Beom-gye publicly opposed Yoon's campaign pledge to abolish the prosecution's investigative authority.
On the same day, Jin appeared on CBS Radio's 'Hanpan Seungbu' and said, "Politicians can express their opinions, but they get angry about that. Why get angry when hearing others' opinions?"
Jin also pointed out, "I believe the prosecution reform by the Democratic Party of Korea has failed. But that doesn't mean what this group (the transition committee) is doing is the right answer either. It is true that former Minister Chu Mi-ae abused the investigative authority, but abolishing the system itself is excessive."
Regarding the transition committee's refusal to accept the Ministry of Justice's work briefing, he said, "Running a government requires necessary tasks, but they refuse as if they have some kind of right. It seems they cannot properly distinguish between urine and feces. It's not even a case of a subordinate protecting a superior..." and added, "Looking at this, how long do you think this will last?"
He criticized further, saying that President-elect Yoon is surrounded by so-called 'Yoon Hae-gwan' (key associates of Yoon Seok-yeol), and "They should make rational judgments and find the right path, but they are very personal and emotionally biased, with extreme ideas like 'let's just abolish it altogether.' I feel that once inaugurated, they will cause even more chaos."

Jin also expressed concern over the delay in the meeting between President Moon Jae-in and President-elect Yoon. He said, "The president himself suggested meeting. It is very important for the incumbent and the next president to meet, exchange pleasantries, and show a friendly and peaceful transfer of power. But I don't know what they are doing now. The public is getting annoyed." He emphasized, "The two of them must meet directly. They should resolve things directly without having their subordinates meet."
