View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Korea Racing Authority Busan Yeonje Branch signed a ‘Sikgu Day Sharing Supporters’ agreement with the Busan Metropolitan City Disabled Welfare Center and local organizations on the 17th to improve awareness of disabilities and promote welfare in the local community.
‘Sikgu Day (19day)’ is a day for raising awareness and understanding of people with disabilities in the local community, held on the 19th of every month with the meaning of ‘We are one family.’ It is organized and implemented by the Busan Metropolitan City Disabled Welfare Center. Since February last year, the Yeonje Branch of the Racing Authority has been consistently supporting the Sikgu Day events by providing event supplies such as bouquets and volunteering to create sharing kits.
The agreement ceremony was also attended by Hwanggeumson Korean Medicine Hospital and the volunteer club ‘Yakcheon’ from the College of Pharmacy at Pusan National University, who sympathized with the purpose of the ‘Sikgu Day’ event and expressed their intention to participate.

Branch Manager Ki-han Bae said, “Through this Sharing Supporters agreement, I hope it will help improve awareness of people with disabilities in the region and promote exchange and communication between people with and without disabilities.” He added, “We plan to continue social contribution activities for mutual growth and cooperation in the local community.”
