Millie's Library Launches Live Broadcast 'Weekly Millie' Delivering Weekly Reading News
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomibeum] The reading platform Millie’s Library is launching a live broadcast called ‘Weekly Millie’ that delivers weekly reading news. This is a new content segment of the live broadcast ‘Millie Live’ that Millie’s Library launched on the 7th.
Premiering on the 22nd, ‘Weekly Millie’ is a live broadcast content that adds fun elements to deliver the latest reading-related information in an entertaining and concise way. In just 30 minutes, viewers can catch weekly popular book trends, guest interviews, and book recommendations for various situations on Millie’s Library. ‘Weekly Millie’ will be broadcast live every Tuesday at 7 PM within the Millie’s Library app through Millie Live, and a shortened edited version of about 10 minutes will be provided every Friday.
The host of ‘Weekly Millie’ is comedian Eom Ji-yoon, who recently gained attention for her hyper-realistic acting in the popular YouTube series ‘Long-term Romance.’ Various segments have been prepared, including ‘Teacher Eom’s Bestseller 5-Minute Completion,’ which is styled as an internet top instructor concept; ‘Book Quiz on the Millie,’ where the host and interviewees solve quizzes about books; and ‘Real-time Recommendations,’ which introduces audiobooks suited to viewers’ stories through live chat.
Do Young-min, Head of Marketing at Millie’s Library, said, “This new content prepared by ‘Millie Live’ was planned to break the stereotype that reading is serious and difficult, and to expand the connection with books by making it something people can easily encounter in daily life.” He added, “We expect that with ‘Bestseller Top Instructor’ Eom Ji-yoon, people will enjoyably explore weekly book trends and get one millimeter closer to reading every day.”
