‘AI, Asia's Future’ … Pukyong National University Hosts ‘CAMPUS Asia Artificial Intelligence Project Kickoff Symposium’

The symposium, themed ‘AI, the Future of Asia,’ was attended by presidents, professors, and students from four universities: Pukyong National University, Yamanashi University in Japan, Hangzhou Dianzi University in China, and Perlis University in Malaysia. It featured keynote speeches, presentations, and discussions.
Keynote speeches included presentations by distinguished AI experts recommended by each university: Jun-Gu Yeo, Director of the Korea Institute of Robot Convergence, on ‘Robotics: Global Issues and Trends’; Hajime Hota, a futurist, on ‘AI Futurology’; Hongsha Yang, Alibaba’s AI Director, on ‘Practical Approaches for Next-Generation Artificial Intelligence’; and Li Hailiang, Intel IT Senior Engineer, on ‘Intel Factory AI Use Cases.’
Last year, Pukyong National University was selected for two projects under the Ministry of Education’s ‘CAMPUS Asia Korea-China-Japan Expansion Project.’ The AI consortium began its full-scale activities starting with the kickoff symposium.
The ‘CAMPUS Asia Korea-China-Japan Expansion Project’ is a representative student exchange program in higher education that promotes joint and double degrees and university exchanges among universities in Korea, China, and Japan.
Last year, 20 new projects were selected from universities including Pukyong National University, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, KAIST, and Korea University.
