SK D&D Donates 100 Million KRW for Uljin Wildfire Damage Recovery Fund
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] SK D&D announced on the 17th that it has donated 100 million KRW to help recover from the large-scale wildfire damage in the Uljin area of Gyeongsangbuk-do.
SK D&D stated, "We own and operate the Uljin Hyeonjongsan Wind Power Plant (53.4MW) in the Giseong-myeon and Maehwa-myeon areas of Uljin-gun," adding, "We prepared this donation to fulfill our responsibility as a member of the local community and to support the prompt return to daily life of the residents affected by the damage."
SK D&D plans to donate 100 million KRW through the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea, which will be used for wildfire damage recovery in the Uljin area and for emergency welfare support projects such as daily necessities and medicine. Immediately after the wildfire spread, they also supported evacuees at the National Sports Center shelter near the Uljin business site with daily necessities such as towels.

Kim Dohyun, CEO of SK D&D, said, "Although the wildfire has been extinguished, social interest and support will be necessary until the evacuees return to their daily lives," and added, "Going forward, SK D&D will continue to monitor the situation on site and provide both material and moral support to help the evacuees quickly return to normal life, under the principle of realizing social value in coexistence with local residents."
