Representative Lee Jun-seok Tests Positive for COVID-19... PCR Test Confirms Infection
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] Lee Jun-seok, the leader of the People Power Party, tested positive for COVID-19 in a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test on the 11th.
According to a People Power Party official, Lee tested positive in a PCR test conducted at a frontline health center in Gwangju on the same day, classifying him as a confirmed COVID-19 case. Lee, who had been staying in Gwangju for a 1-night, 2-day schedule since the afternoon of the previous day, felt unwell that morning and took a rapid antigen test at a hospital in Gwangju, which also came back positive.
After undergoing the PCR test, Lee canceled all scheduled events in Gwangju and Jeonbuk for the day and returned to his residence in Seoul. He used a passenger car driven by an aide who was also confirmed positive after taking the PCR test.
