View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Starfield is hosting a ‘Flower Festival’ across all its locations to welcome spring, transforming into an urban healing garden where visitors can first enjoy the feast of spring flowers, offering a fragrant spring scent with colorful and vibrant blossoms.
According to Starfield on the 11th, this event was planned to soothe the disappointment of not being able to comfortably enjoy spring flower viewing due to the prolonged pandemic, to heal weary hearts, and to convey the hopeful energy of spring days with the vitality and liveliness of spring flowers. The brightly colored spring flowers filling Starfield are expected to provide a leisurely atmosphere along with the full spring vibe, warmly melting the hearts of customers who had been withdrawn during the winter.
First, Starfield COEX Mall has completed its spring makeover and sends fresh spring greetings to customers with flowers and poetry. Until the 31st, the ‘Spring at Byeolmadang’ event is held at the Byeolmadang Library, featuring a special exhibition of books titled ‘Poems of Spring Days - Reasons for New Spring,’ which collects poems suitable for spring, and a ‘Spring Garden’ filled with blooming spring flowers.
The library’s center and stairs are dyed with fresh spring light, harmonizing with the ‘Spring Garden’ created by garden designer Oh Kyung-ah. Various spring flowers such as spring flowers, cyclamen, daffodils, and marigold anchovy are embroidered, creating a unique landscape. Visitors can enjoy leisure time reading books in the romantically flower-surrounded library or take photos with the bright flowers as a backdrop, fully experiencing the spring atmosphere.
At the ‘Poems of Spring Days - Reasons for New Spring’ book exhibition corner, visitors can find poems and poetry collections personally curated by poet Na Tae-joo, who is loved for works that capture the simple and warm sensibility of nature. The exhibition features works by poets Kim Yong-taek, Jung Ho-seung, Kang Eun-gyo, and more, as well as about 100 poetry collections themed on spring and flowers, delivering a healing and hopeful message filled with the life and beauty of spring. A coffee voucher is also given as part of the exhibition photo certification event.
Additionally, every Friday, special lectures by invited celebrities are held. Poet Lee Jung-rok, novelist Eun Hee-kyung, vocalist Shin Della, and psychiatrist Kim Chang-gi (a singer formerly of ‘Zoo’) will share warm stories like spring.
At Starfield Hanam, until the 24th of this month, a dreamy pink flower path called ‘Pink Way’ that allows visitors to feel the seasonal changes with all five senses is on display. Collaborating with the planterior design group ‘Macho’s Adolescence,’ a 12-meter-long splendid flower path was created in front of the Central Atrium Media Tower. Preserved flowers, which keep fresh flowers for a long time, captivate both sight and smell, while the bark (wood bark pieces) scattered on the walking path rustles, stimulating touch and hearing. Also, uploading a photo at the photo zone on Instagram with the required hashtags will reward the first 500 participants with a coffee drink voucher.
If you want to enjoy the fresh spring energy of live flowers, visit Starfield Goyang. Until the 20th of this month, the ‘Fresh Garden’ flower market filled with abundant spring flowers is held in the central void. A variety of seasonal flowers are available, allowing customers to purchase potted plants and bouquets that will fill their homes with a fragrant spring scent.
Starfield Anseong is hosting a ‘Farmers Market’ with European sensibility for enjoying flowers in daily life, in collaboration with the flower subscription brand ‘Kkukka,’ until the 24th of this month. In an exotic atmosphere reminiscent of a European flower traditional market, visitors can find 5,000 fresh seasonal flowers directly sourced from domestic and international flower farms. A trendy flower photo zone is also set up, allowing visitors to leave stylish photos and create memories. Additionally, flower classes are held every weekend, with participation available by applying on-site. Furthermore, customers who purchase over 30,000 KRW at Starfield Anseong will receive a Kkukka flower vase, limited to the first 100 people per day.
At Starfield City Wirye, a ‘Paper Flower Garden’ has been created to add the fun of customers completing the artwork themselves. From the 18th to the 27th, the ‘Paper Flower Garden’ art project is held in the void in front of the main entrance, where customers can fold and insert paper flowers using their creativity, and the gathered flowers complete a beautiful garden. Instructions on paper folding are provided to make participation easy for everyone.
