Gurye-gun, Recruiting Participants for 2022 Mobile Healthcare Program
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yuk Miseok] Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that it is recruiting participants for this year's public health center mobile healthcare project.
Mobile healthcare is a project that collects real-time information on individuals' health behavior practices using a smartphone app and a wrist-worn smart band, then provides one-on-one customized health management by experts in areas such as health, nutrition, and exercise to induce improvements in lifestyle habits and health behaviors.
Eligible applicants are smartphone users aged 20 to 60 residing in the county who have at least one of five health risk factors (blood pressure, fasting blood glucose, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, waist circumference). Those diagnosed with or undergoing treatment for hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidemia are excluded.
Recruitment starts on the 21st on a first-come, first-served basis for 60 people. After basic health screening of applicants, final participants will be selected, and the program will operate for six months starting in May.
After the service begins, mid-term and post-term examinations will analyze participants' health status and propose health management plans. Outstanding participants in health, nutrition, and exercise areas will be selected and provided with various incentives.
Kim Hyeongjin, director of Gurye-gun Health and Medical Center, said, "Proactive prevention is more important than treatment for chronic disease patients. Through mobile healthcare, we will strive to provide non-face-to-face health promotion services to local residents with health risk factors to help them practice healthy lifestyle habits on their own."
