Mercedes-Benz Provides 1 Billion KRW Support to Wildfire-Affected Areas on the East Coast

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee announced on the 9th that it will raise 1 billion KRW to support residents affected by the large-scale wildfires in the Gyeongbuk and Gangwon regions and to aid on-site recovery efforts.
The Benz Social Contribution Committee decided to provide emergency donations through the social welfare corporation Children and Future Foundation due to the severe damage caused by wildfires in the East Coast areas such as Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok, Gangwon. The funds raised this time will be used in various ways in cooperation with local official dealerships.
Thomas Klein, Chairman of the Benz Social Contribution Committee, said, “We have decided on urgent support to alleviate the suffering of many people caused by the recent disaster, restore the affected sites, and rehabilitate the forests. We wish for the safety of everyone working on the fire suppression on-site and the swift recovery of the residents affected by the disaster.”
