On that day, Director Choi checked the proper operation status of air emission facilities and prevention facilities, and urged continuous management and efforts for sites voluntarily reducing fine dust.
POSCO Pohang Steelworks was designated as an integrated permit site for integrated management of environmental pollution facilities on December 31 last year, strengthening the enclosure of raw material stockyards and management standards and emission standards for large main emission outlets. They have also been implementing improvements in prevention facilities and fuel improvements.

Director Choi Jong-won said, “Since it is the high concentration period of fine dust in spring, we are encouraging voluntary reduction agreements with large sites and promoting efforts to fulfill the agreements to reduce air pollutant emissions in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions.”
