Gaon Media Showcases AI and 5G Solutions at MWC 2022
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Gaon Media participated in the 'Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022' held in Barcelona, Spain, along with its subsidiary Gaon Broadband.
Gaon Group introduced its products and solutions to overseas telecommunications operators in a separately prepared meeting room. Discussions related to commercialization were also conducted. Gaon Media showcased its core business division's artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. They presented not only the AI terminals commercialized domestically but also the AI terminals for global major telecommunications operators, for which they signed their first export contract last year.
Gaon Broadband, a network solutions specialist company, exhibited various network devices equipped with 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and WIFI6E. According to a company official, their self-developed network integrated management solution and open platform-based service management solution attracted attention from global operators.
The official stated, "We showcased next-generation solutions suitable for artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G, the key themes throughout the exhibition," adding, "We will take this exhibition, where representatives from telecommunications companies worldwide, who are major clients of Gaon Group, gathered in one place, as an opportunity to pioneer new markets."

MWC is an event organized by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA). It is one of the world's top three IT exhibitions where the latest IT technology trends can be identified. This event, held from the 28th of last month to the 3rd of this month, featured participation from over 1,500 companies from 155 countries worldwide. Next-generation technologies such as AI, 5G, and the metaverse were showcased.
