On that day, CEO Choi, along with loss investigation staff, visited a livestock farm located in Buk-myeon, Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, inspected the damage status of livestock barns, agricultural machinery, and houses, and ordered a prompt accident investigation.
Prior to this, he visited Yeongdeok-Uljin Livestock Nonghyup and assessed the wildfire damage status in Uljin-gun with Park Youngtaek, the head of the cooperative, Geum Dongmyeong, head of the Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters of the Nonghyup Central Association, Park Byungseon, head of the Uljin-gun branch of the Nonghyup Central Association, and Kim Seokhyun, director of NH Nonghyup Property & Casualty Insurance’s Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters, discussing support measures to minimize management losses for farms.
CEO Choi said, “We will help the rapid recovery of farmers and agricultural enterprises distressed by the sudden wildfire through prompt accident investigation and advance payment of insurance claims. It was regrettable to see many farms not enrolled in agricultural policy insurance during the site visit. We will also devise plans to expand enrollment for non-enrolled farms and strive to establish a safety net for farm management.”

Meanwhile, NH Nonghyup Property & Casualty Insurance plans to form a local task force in the wildfire-affected areas of Uljin and Samcheok to support swift accident investigations and on-site recovery activities. They also explained that they will grant premium payment deferrals and waive reinstatement late fees for farmers and agricultural enterprises.
